SureFire is the heating system on the Helix VR 2.3. A block heater and an in-hose heating element manage temperature at the pump, along the hose and up to the gun, where Titan says it can be checked and adjusted. The site lists the heater block, a heater rod, a thermocouple, temperature controllers and the heated hose as separate products.
The Helix VR 2.3 is a heated, electric, two-part proportioner for polyurea, polyaspartics and epoxies. It is not a paint or fine finish sprayer, which is the most common mix-up with the name. Its heating system is branded SureFire, and a lot of the parts you will search for on this machine belong to it. This guide separates what Titan says SureFire does from the parts we can actually point you to.
Why the material is heated
Titan builds the Helix VR as a heated system, meaning the heat is applied to the material on its way to the gun rather than left to the temperature of the container. The temperature your coating should reach is a coating-maker decision, so it comes from the coating's data sheet. Neither the sprayer manual nor this page replaces that sheet, and we do not explain the coating chemistry here.
The SureFire heating system
Articles quoting Titan describe SureFire as two heat sources working together: a block heater and an in-hose heating element. Between them the system manages the temperature at the pump, along the length of the hose and at the gun. The point Titan makes is that the temperature at the gun end can be checked and adjusted, so you are not relying only on what the machine reads near the pump.
- Block heater: heats the material at the pump end.
- In-hose heating element: keeps the temperature managed along the hose.
- At the gun: the temperature can be checked and adjusted there, according to Titan.
The numbers Titan and distributors give
We keep this short, because heating numbers are easy to misquote. The MCC listing for the VR 2.3 gives a 7,500 W 3-stack heater as standard, on a 230 V, 3 phase, 70 A supply. Wagner Australia confirms the 3 phase, 70 A supply. A maximum material temperature has been published too, but it rests on a single source, so we do not repeat it here. Check the data plate on your unit and the Helix VR manual for the figures that apply to your machine, since other markets use different voltages.
Heating parts on the site
The site has no Helix diagram pages, so these are individual product listings and fitment is what the catalog's fits field says. We name each part as it is listed and do not describe its internal function beyond the name.
Heating and heated hose parts
Several of these numbers sound alike, and Titan's service information for the Helix is not something we can quote, so we cannot tell you which one a particular fault needs. Describe what the machine is doing when you call (713) 931-0006 with the model and serial number, and the parts team can help you narrow it down before you order.
Heated hose manual and where to look
Titan publishes a Helix hose manual alongside the Helix VR, FR and LP manuals, and all of them are on our manuals page. Use them for the hose and for operating steps, because we do not reproduce that detail here. For a wider look at the catalog, use the Titan parts list or the sprayer parts category.

The Short Version
SureFire is a block heater plus an in-hose element, with temperature checked and adjusted at the gun, per Titan. The site lists the heater block, a heater rod, a thermocouple, a thermostat, temperature controllers and heated hose as separate parts, each with a fits field to confirm.
